Teacher Qualifications

  • Are Christians and are active participants of a local church.
  • Are required to have the 45 hour state child care courses in Early Childhood Education.
  • VPK instructors require additional training as assigned by the Department of Early Learning
  • Have obtained or are currently a Florida Childcare Staff Credential.
  • Are fingerprinted and background checked by local, state and federal agencies.
  • Are certified in child First Aid and CPR
  • Have 10 hours annually of continuing education in Early Childhood Education.

UC Early Learning Center—Substitutes 

UCELC’s mission is to create a Christian environment that inspires children to develop inner discipline, self-assurance, a love for learning and to know their Savior, Jesus Christ.

  • Ability to work in 2s, 3s, or VPK classrooms
  • M–F, 8:30 AM–2:15 PM (depending on need)

Substitutes must provide current documentation of DCF fingerprint and background check clearance, or must complete fingerprinting and background check prior to hire. Cost of fingerprinting & background check is to be paid by applicant.

UC Early Learning Center—2-yr-old Classroom Teacher

UCELC’s mission is to create a Christian environment that inspires children to develop inner discipline, self-assurance, a love for learning and to know their Savior, Jesus Christ.

  • Position available working in a 2 year old classroom
  • Days needed are Tuesday and Thursday, hours 8:30am – 2:15pm
  • Position is for the 2022-2023 school year beginning in August

All UCELC employees are subject to a background screening and maintaining DCF required training upon hire.

Previous childcare experience and training a plus.
